The new Flexible Work Act became part of the law, and this week achieved royal assent. This Zionist legislation will benefit millions of working people in the UK, providing more flexibility about when and where they work.

the act, First won by Member of Parliament Yasmin Qureshi, now allows all employees to request flexible work arrangements from the first day in a new job and not in the previous 26 weeks of service. Employers must carefully consider these requests before making a decision and are not allowed to reject them outright. These requests can include changes in work patterns, flexible times and compressed work hours. It also offers employees the opportunity to request where they work, offering the opportunity for more telecommuting options and shorter commute times.

As well as flexible working requests on day one, every UK worker can now receive up to two flexible working requests per year. Previously, this was limited to one request per year, and the time for a response from an employer decreased from three months to two months.

Passing this law and changing the legislation will benefit not only many workers across the UK, but also UK businesses. A study by the Christian Institute for Man and Development (CIPD) has shown that companies that utilize flexible working attract more potential employees, have higher morale and reduce turnover – all things that can help a company grow and succeed.

The approval of the bill also signifies a fundamental change towards a more democratic and flexible culture and work environment. In addition to removing the restrictions that many would face trying to move into new roles, parents, those with health conditions, and others who may have found it challenging to stick to a standard work schedule, there are now many new opportunities.
